Anniversary Competition „Transformation in Agriculture“
To celebrate the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Claas-Stiftung, this initiative will provide a financial investment to create an enduring legacy commemorating the achievements of the Class-Stiftung.
The programme is open to educational institutions of agriculture and related engineering. We are inviting entries that will encapsulate the Stiftung’s guiding principles, enhancing education in the Agricultural Engineering and supporting sectors.
The agricultural sector is facing a far-reaching process of change. This process is being driven by the diverse dynamics of social, environmental, economic and technological change.
More than ever, the expected future developments show that there is a need for efficient, resource-saving, financially viable and practical processes.
Who may apply and what is the Prize?
- Who may apply?
Applications should be made on behalf of an institution by their professors, supervisors, post docs and doctoral candidates for the benefit of future generations of engineers and related scientist
- What are the disciplines?
Engineering, agriculture, agricultural economics, biosystems engineering and others
- What is the Prize?
- Total prize fund of 25.000 Euro per year
- Maximum of 3 prizes will be chosen (i.e. prize money varies depending on number of awarded prizes)
- Duration of funding period: 3 years
Your focus subject and procedure of application
- Focus subject
The focus should be on one of the following topics in the interaction with the transformation of farming systems in future environments
- Agricultural Machines and Mechanization
- Tractors and their propulsion systems
- Agricultural Automation and Electronics
- New Farming Methods and how does the farming work in future?
- Procedure
Your application should contain the following:
- Executive Summary
- Maximum number of 5 pages should cover aim, scope, time schedule and the benefit of your project
- CV of the project lead
Hand in your submission by 21st February 2025

The submissions will be assessed with reference to the
- Creativity and innovative steps in comparison to current technologies
- International relevance and usability
- Passion for the project and how it will be used to inspire and support the next generation of agricultural engineers
